I've just pulled my iPad Pro M1 out of storage as I want to use it for studying. I'd like to have an ebook and a note taking app side by side as well as allowing me to use the Apple Pencil for handwritten notes when reading physical books. I do not have the Magic Keyboard unfortunately but might consider getting a second hand one if needed.

So can you recommend apps for note taking and reading books. If you need any additional information then please let me know. Also if you have any other recommendations I'd also appreciate them.

I use adobe reader with 10 gb of neurosurgical books: perfect for reading and highlighting, also good for handwritten notes.

You can organise your pdf in folder easily both in the adobe app and in the file app using it.

It’s a free version (I downloaded it long long time ago, I don’t know now if you have to pay for it).

In Italy, neurosurgeon (and all medical doctors) are not well paid as in USA.
I thought that AR had a paid version. I tried to use other apps like Noteful. Then I left this and preferred to highlight on Zotero fully on Macbook.
