iPad for watching 1080P or 4K ( Bell Fibe tv app )

I picked up the basic iPad 9.7 from Best Buy... live in Canada and use Bell Fibe tv app. If using this app on my iPhone XR no black borders on top and bottom, just slight borders on the side.

With the basic iPad 9.7 large borders top and bottom, no borders on the side. Almost same picture size on iPhone XR as it had no letterbox borders...

Which iPad has least problems with the letterbox black borders for Full HD and 4K - iPad Mini 5, iPad Air or current iPad Pros ?

returned the basic iPad 9.7

iPads are 4:3 aspect ratio so unfortunately you're going to see black borders on all of them.

Should have googled the aspect ratios before returning it, going to be the same issue on every model.
