Found ipad with case at intersection in my city, apparently it was damaged due to fall on asphalt or maybe vehicle ran over it causing front screen to shatter. It still powers on with passcode request. I posted it on craigslist with only one reply. Their passcode didn't work so we agreed it didn't belong to them. Nobody else has claimed it yet. Any suggestions?

Take it to your nearest Apple Store. They should be able to figure out who it belongs to.

Good on you for trying to find the owner rather than trying to keep it for yourself.
