ipad GPS driving direction app that does not require a 3G connection

Meaning I want to have all the map data downloaded to the device. I have a road trip this summer and will be outside of 3G range for half the trip. I don't want to lose my GPS driving data just because I don't have a constant connection. I was looking at MotionX GPS drive but it requires a connection.

I already have a tomtom device but it's not as reliable as I would like.

MotionX GPS Drive HD requires a connection. MotionX GPS HD allows you to download map data but there are no turn by turn directions.

Navigon also loads all map data to the device. Huge install, but worth it if you lose the cell signal.

COPILOT HD does not require a connection. It downloads all the maps to the ipad. It works as well as my Garmin units.
