iPad Hardware Test?

Is there anyway to run a hardware test on an iPad to sniff out any issues that could be causing degraded performance? I seem to get a lot of games crashing on me. I figured at first it was just the apps, but since it happens in a lot of different apps I'm starting to think otherwise...

Nothing available to the public but i'm sure if you take it to the Apple Store they will be able to run one.
