I can turn home sharing on for iTunes music but can't figure out how to get the video and iPhoto home sharing to work. Is it the same as apple tv? Or is home sharing for iOS only audio?

I was wondering the same thing. I just got the iPad 2, on my iPhone 4 I can get all my media to play over home sharing (video's and photos). Not sure if it is just something with the iPad. I got the 64GB so it's not going to be a big deal if I can't use the home sharing for videos and photos cause I can fit all of my media on it, just doesn't leave much room. Just would be nice to use while at home.

Me too but I got a 64 by default. No 32 available so I
Went higher. I'd be really upset if I had gone 32 or 16 and found out vu
Ido sharing wouldn't work

Videos via home sharing: have you tried the "Videos" app that is now on the iPad home screen? They kinda snuck that one in there, and it is where you will find the home sharing for video.

cheers.

I tried this last night. In the "Videos" app, it only had the videos that I have loaded through iTunes. I looked for a button or setting for homesharing but was unable to find one.

Can you maybe explain how you got yours to work? maybe I am not doing something correctly, but I would think it is straight forward.

Thanks!

Same here,m if anyone has an answer - would love to know, thanks!

Have you tried going into iPod preferences (under settings) and enabling home share? After that, for iPad, you'll see a button at the top of page in Video app that says "Share". For iPhone, it'll be under "more", "shared".
