All iPads iPad in Canada (Data Plan)

Hello All!,

We are planning a trip to Canada and I looking for a cheap way to get data on my iPad / iPhone.

I was thinking of getting and iPad data plan and sharing the sim with an iPhone 4 so i can have data on the go when I dont want to carry the iPad with me.

Do any of the carriers allow this to work? Or do they block the iPad sim from working in an iPhone (both are unlocked).

What about sim swapping? I dont really want to carry the ipad everywhere.

Just keep the sim in the iPhone? When you use your ipad then use the hotspot

That's the question, would an iPad Data Plan work in the iPhone.
