Funny so I had to share ...

Last night I was lying in bed and surfing the web on the iPad ... It was pretty late ... Around 3:30 am my time ... I usual surf the web in portrait mode ... I was starting to dosing off and WHAM he iPad smacked me right in the nose! I woke up laughing at myself!

A warning to all you ipad / bed surfers!

    The irony ....

The iPad gave me a laugh during a weekend in London last week.

Our bedroom is extremely sunny in the mornings so we sleep with eye pads during the summer; my better half suggested we should look out for some new ones amongst the multitude of shops in London.

We went our separate ways for a couple of hours whilst there and when we met back up, I did suggest that it wasn't my idea (I hadn't planned on or budgetted for buying an iPad) as I tried to mitigate my purchase .... "oh but you did say we should look for new I/eye pads"!

    :p

On the subject of surfing in bed, I do find the iPad slightly more awkward than my laptop when laying down ....

This happened to me also. I was using the Apple case with it propped up when the iPad slammed down on my face =(.

Haha that's a good one, the only injury I have from it so far are sore palms from where I've been holding it and the corners have been digging into my hands, quite painful but ive got a rubber case on it now so it's not as bad

    That's NOTHING.

Three days ago my friend Kiki came over my house to visit. As we talked, she decided "Let's go have lunch in the park!" so we agreed. And we prepared little cucumber-and-tomato-and-pesto-and-black-peper sandwiches on toasted bread, pasta salad with veggies and grilled chicken, and freshly made strawberry lemonade with mint!!!

Kiki hopped on my bike, riding behind me, and said "I hope I don't drop my iPad!"

"I'll go slow!" I shouted back (Los Angeles midday traffic is loud).

As I'm leisurely pedaling towards the beautiful Griffith Park, Kiki spotted a bakery along the way. "Oooh stop! I wanna run in there and pick up some black and white cookies for us for dessert!! They are amazing!"

So I smiled and watched as Kiki hopped off the bike, her iPad in her hand, and approached the crosswalk leading to the corner with the bakery.

She turned to me and smiled, and shouted "These cookies are going to-"

A SEMI TRUCK BARRELING DOWN THE STREET at 70-80 MPH struck Kiki like a bolt of lightning... I mean this thing came out of nowhere. All I saw was Kiki's body twisting and bending like I've never seen a body do before, and I heard a "THUD" like concrete blocks hitting the ground.

Kiki died (RIP) but before I went up to her to body to confirm this, I approached her iPad and, miraculously, it was UNTOUCHED! Not a scratch, dent or crack on the baby!! Somebody in the crowd of bystanders shouted "Hey I think that's her iPad!" and I shouted back, as I glared at him menacingly, "She would've wanted me to have it!"

Still cannot believe how tough this thing is.

Were you holding it way arms length way up from your mouth? That really sounds like it hurt. When the iPad hit my nose it gave me that buzz feeling ... It got me pretty good.

This thread reminds me of the Darwin Awards. It appears that the opposing thumbs and/or some human brains have not evolved in tune with Apples products. Step away from the ipads guys.

Someone should sue the pants off Apple for this, just like the guy that spilled McDonals coffee all over himself and won a multi-million settlement because the coffee didn't warn that it was hot and could cause a burn.

So you could sue and claim that nowhere on the ipad does it say that allowing it to tip over and smash the bridge of your nose could be harmful to your health. :)

Are you going to keep posting the same story in multiple threads? I saw this in the "Dropped my iPad 6 foot onto solid floor!" thread. Not only that, but you are the one who also created the thread about you having an "Emergency" because your iPad order was declined. Are you trolling or mentally ill?

This story is genuinely upsetting. I'd even question its truth.

Kiki needs some respect. She might come back for her iPad with a vengeance!
