I have been reading some threads about various issues and was wondering if maybe I should delay updating my original IPAD still on the original OS. I use a MacBook Pro 13" purchase earlier this year so it should go fairly smoothly, may be wait until it settles down a bit to attempt this update. One other thing with this update does that mean any apps over 20MB can now be down loaded directly to the IPAD instead of having to use ITunes all the time, that alone would be worth the update for sure.

    OK then wait.

It was not flawless but it eventually worked.

Personally I don't see a reason to not update. Most issues have been from trying to download, when servers where getting hammered by everyone trying to update.

Worked perfectly, no issues at all took about 20 minutes.

No issues for me on my original iPad. Took 60 minutes total. Twelve minutes to download to my Mac and another 48 minutes to install on the iPad.

I did have problems updating. Original iPad, never JB'en, got this 3002 error. Finally I used direct download, and did a full restore. Once installed have had no problems. I'm a little underwhelmed by the update, but there are a few nice things here and there. Eventuallly I'll probably use some iCloud features, and if you want to stay up to date on security fixes and App compatibility you almost have to upgrade. So on balance, I'd upgrade.

I did have some issues, iMessage registration, Blog Press closing on me and Safari Crashing. I was able to work through them and everything appears to be functional now.

The upgrade is worth it IMHO. :)
