Incase you haven't read the other responses, post 16 pointed out the bluetooth keyboard was the culprit 11 years ago..It happens to my iPad and the Bluetooth keyboard is the culprit (Logi). It disables it quite frequently to my frustration.
Only work around that works for me is to switch off the iPad when I’m not using it. This prevents any inadvertent keystrokes.
In case you hadn’t realised, new iPads and new keyboards have newer technologies. This problem is persistent 11 yrs later and I offered what solution works for me as my keyboard cannot be switched off so thanks but no thanks for your input.Incase you haven't read the other responses, post 16 pointed out the bluetooth keyboard was the culprit 11 years ago..
Yes and the problem/solution was given 11 years ago that still stands. You're free to post wherever/whatever you want I was just pointing out that the solution was given to the members having the problem hence the thread died. I guess your intention was to remind current members of the problem and solution incase they didn't want to search past threads to see if anyone has had this happen before. Being helpful with solutions to issues is why people are here and come here to find out so your input is appreciatedIn case you hadn’t realised, new iPads and new keyboards have newer technologies. If it's totally disabled and you cannot get into it, you can reset the iPad by holding down the power button and the Touch ID button at the same time for about 15 seconds or so. When you see the Apple logo appear let go of the power button and keep pressing the Touch ID. You should see a request to connect your iPad to your computer. Go into Finder and locate the iPad and from there you should be able to restore it. You will lose all of your data on the iPad. Hopefully, you have a recent back-up to restore it. Good luck!Anyone know about this? 😕
