for the whiners saying that jailbreaking is all about the piracy, all I can say is for a guy that has already imported an iPad and spent more on Apps than on the iPad itself jailbreaking mean
- Multitasking, the real way, not apple in fall 4.0 way
- statusbar notifications
- winterboard mods (can't wait to shrink down the icons and get more outta my homescreens
- MyWi sharing to tether to my 3GS
We should clear up something, someone who has a different opinion then your own does not constitute "whiners" or "fanboys" for that matter. Opinions make the world go round and should be encouraged not shunned.

I'm all for Jailbreaking for the reasons you posted above...but it's a bit funny that you are defending Jailbreaking to say that it' isn't about Piracy yet you say one of the reasons is for MyWi tethering? Isn't that a form of Piracy in itself since you are using something without the authority to do so? And I don't buy the "I already pay for a 3G data plan for my iPhone"...exactly...for your iPhone. Trying to justify that is like saying that you should only pay for one 3G data plan for the 2 iPhones in your household.
I'm on 3mobile (officially unlocked)
I paid for my phone
I paid for the app.
my plan includes tethering (the sim actually came with an included usb dongle but that's not much use with the iPad)
so yes, it's a bit funny...
Um...ok then.
But in that case...why do you need Jailbreaking? You can already tether the iPad to your iPhone, no?
MyWii uses wifi, iPhone tethers using Bluetooth.
at least that's the way it was explained to me (never used iPhone tethering as I had already jailbroken for multitasking when a friend suggested MyWi)
HXGuy said:I don't think that's correct.
MyWi basically turns your iPhone into a WiFi Network (Hotspot). You then take the iPad, search for available WiFi and pick the iPhone out of the list of available hotspots and it connects as if you were at home on your WiFi network.

Plus, the SMS thing was months ago.
Jailbreakers jailbreak, Apple patches, and the cat and mouse game continues. By holding onto it, the cat has the mouse in a death grip.

Any reason why??
100% agree.
If they release the JB Apple will plug the exploit which means one less way to JB 4.0.
