    Hey everyone,

So, I just picked up an iPad Air for Christmas and my wife got a rmini iPad. I'm wondering about keyboard options. What keyboards would you all suggest? I'm not thinking I'm going to use the keyboard all the time, but for those times that I'm going to be doing a lot of typing I want to have the option.

I already have a case for my iPad and so does she. We're not really looking for a Keyboard/Case combo, but I'm open to suggestions if someone just thinks their keyboard/case combo is the best keyboard option out there.

I've looked at some basic Bluetooth options from Logitech and Belkin. I do like the idea of the Logitech Solar Powered option just to save on batteries and charging in general. Of course there's always the Apple keyboard as well.

With all of that said, what have your experiences been with iPad keyboards and what do you like about the product you chose to fit this need?

    iPad Keyboard Experiences?

    Anker® Ultra-Slim(4mm) Wireless Bluetooth 3.0 Keyboard for iPhone 5 5S 5C, iPad Air / iPad Mini 2 / iPad Mini / New iPad 3 / iPad 2 / Nexus 7 / Galaxy Tab and Other Tablets - Ultra Thin Keyboard with Built-in lithium battery / Aluminum Body

I like this one. Very slim and portable. I recommend getting this with it as well so you can carry it in 1 bag:
SOLO Storm Collection Universal 10-Inch Tablet Sling (STM751-4)

Bluetooth keyboards typically last for 100hr on a single charge.

Thanks for the feedback Zmanbaseball2. Can I ask have you actually used either of these products? Any drawbacks or negatives or has the total experience been great so far?

Hi! I know this is in the combo category, but I have both the Apple keyboard and now a Clamcase Pro keyboard for my iPad 3. Check out Clamcase when you have a chance. What I like is the great typing feel as well as an infinately adjustable viewing angle. Mine is kind of heavy, but the upcoming Air version is supposed to be much lighter.

I found I never ended up taking my separate keyboard with me.

I have the Logitech solar keyboard. I knew I wouldn't use it all that often, and that I'd be annoyed if the batteries were dead when I did want to use it. I think it works well, and it's handy that you can pair it with up to three devices - I can switch from the iPad to the iPhone with the push of one button. And when I was having some issues with my iMac wired keyboard, I had it paired with the iMac as well. Even though I don't use it often and don't carry it with me out of the house unless I know I'll have a reason to use it (i.e. traveling where the iPad is my only computer), I definitely do not regret the purchase.

When I'm traveling, I use this Tucano bag: http://amzn.com/B004B47DSI. It holds an iPad, the keyboard, and other accessories. The bag is actually a little "puffy" for my tastes, but it works and I couldn't find anything I liked better at the time I bought it, at a reasonable price anyway. (For daily use, I have a STM Jacket, smaller but no room for a keyboard in it.)
