iPad locked out

    Hi,
    My Grandson entered the wrong password too many times, and now my iPad just says:
    "iPad is disabled. connect to iTunes".

    I connected the iPad to my computer and turned on iTunes, but the message i get is: "To allow access, please respond on your iPad".

    I have no idea how to resolve this problem and would be very grateful for any help anyone has to offer.
