iPad Lockscreen - remove?

If I did ever just an iPad3 or 3 (not sure as I've used my 1Pad for about 10 mins in the last 4 months) then I'd not buy the stupidly designed cover from Apple anyway

I'm afraid once the novelty of the device wore out, I realised, in reality I do have zero use for it. Or rather I have much better devices to hand always anyway

If you only use your iPad for 10 min every 4 months are you really that bothered by the lock screen that takes 2 seconds to swipe?

The annoying thing is it would be so so very simple to just have a lockscreen on/off setting we could select. It's just a simple thing, I'm surprised they have not thought to include it.

OMG, I find the iPad lock screen so dam annoying.

On a mobile phone, yes, sure I can understand having a lock screen, but why do we need one (or one we can't turn off) on a tablet?

Doing my Christmas card list and as I'm writing cards and addresses, the iPad turns off, which is fine, then I have to press the button and swipe to bloody lock screen again.

I don't need or want a lock screen when I'm using a device at home.

The lock-screen is made to prevent you from opening unnecessary apps when you hit the home button.

I know this is an old forum, but I think about this constantly! Even out and about in public, I don't ever find myself bumping my home or sleep/wake button. I find this super annoying also because I use my iPad as my computer. When I was on 5.0.1 I was jailbroken and had the no lock screen tweak and LOVED it. I wish apple would incorporate this into the os . At least give us the option!
