Does anyone have the specs for both models so they can be compared?

Wondering if the 12.9 has a larger keypad and if the keys are more spread out.

From various pictures it looks like Caps Lock, -/_, and =/+ are shortened in favor of making the actual QWERTY board full-size.

Several keys on the 11” are squished a bit so the number keys and letters can maintain normal size and spacing.
The ~ key, - key and = key on the top row are 1/2 width. The delete key might be a little smaller than a normal delete key.
Tab, ] and \ are narrower than normal.
Caps lock is 2/3 size as is the return key.
The two shift keys are slightly shorter, the space bar is slightly shorter and the right option key is 1/2 width.

Thanks! Do you know if the trackpad is different?

Here are some comparison pics.

Do both keyboards tilt to the same degree? The reason I ask, the 12.9” SKF tilts further back than the 11”.

So are the main keys actually bigger/more spaced out on the 12.9 inch, or do they just make side function keys bigger compared to the smaller side function keys on the 11 inch? I heard that they made the side function keys smaller on the 11 inch, so that the main keys can remain full size Just wondering if that’s true or not

Main keys are same size. Some of the symbol keys are squished to make space.

Keys seem to be the same size but closer together. Function keys smaller.

That 12 inch has a better screen

Justsaying :D

Maybe we should send this over to the OCD crowd. They love this sort of thing.

Difficult to see from these pics why some people have commented about their fingers touching the lower edge of the iPad when using the top row of keys on the 11 inch but not the 12.9. They look similar.

I have never seen them to have that big of a size difference until now...

(BTW, we have both models and I got the 12.9 keyboard but this picture makes me want the 11” instead. It just looks so nice and compact).

Be sure. I tested the 11'' and found it too cramped for my liking.

The 12.9” trackpad is bigger.

They are both 4” wide but the 12.9” trackpad is 2” tall. The 11” trackpad is only 1.75” tall.

Thanks! Trackpad looks a little longer on the vertical. Perhaps it's my mind or the photo, but do all letter keys seem ever so slightly larger on the 12?

Awesome, ty!

Awesome, ty!

The keys are the same size but typing just feels better on the 12.9

Agreed! I thought I wanted the 12.9 or a new MB Air, and that I might sell my 11” but the compact size sits perfect on my pillow, my lap or desk. I am on my IPad at least 9+ hours a day. I buy and sell fresh Berries for a national group of stores. I go from iTrade,Webex,Zoom,Skype, MSOffice, the web, all day and the MK and trackpad make all the difference for how I work now.Not to mention how cool the lit keyboard is! It’s the little things in life that make it fun at times. I have a 15” Windows Lenovo Laptop supplied to me, that pretty much sits unused. Not a bad machine, just not as convenient. Well done Apple.
