my aunt recently gave me her old iPad mini to sell as she upgraded. I tried factory resetting the mini, but for some reason, it's in this weird limbo state of powering on and partially loading and then powering off. It doesn't appear to go to the "hello" screen.

Does anyone know what the problem is?

-Edit-
Looks like I had to manually reset it via itunes, seems to work now

I wonder why that would even make a difference (maybe because it was plugged into your computer)? ?

I forgot to mention that I had to a recovery-like setting (holding down the power and home button...multiple times) and then getting the connect to the computer screen prompt.

I just did a 2nd factory reset it after booting it up to ensure everything was working and it seems to be working now. Maybe software issues?
