ipad mini 2 retina - best ios version

Hey guys

I own ipad mini 2 retina and I'm wondering which version of ios has the best performance. As we know obsolete apple products might be issue after few years of using so I don't want to slow it down by updating it to newer versions of ios.

which version of ios your device runs?

I'm on 10.3.2 and it seems much slower than 9.x.x

Best in terms of speed? iOS 7. It's pretty much all downhill from there.

Yes. I'm not satisfied with 10.3.2 since it's noticable slower than older version. I'd like to downgrade to ios which is not too old and well-balanced for this specs

What about 9.x.x? Would it be good choice?

I reckon iOS 9 is a good balance of performance and app support. iOS 8 was worse than iOS on the iPad 3, 4 & Air.
