iPad mini iPad mini 2 with iOS 8 slow?

I was looking forward to buying a new iPad mini.. I like the smaller tablets. A full-sized iPad is just too big. However the iPad 3 doesn't seem worth it. I am now thinking about an iPad mini 2. How is iOS on the mini 2? Slow? laggy? Just fine?

Zero problems here, works great. The original Mini has quite a few issues, though.

i'm thinking going for the 32gb ipad mini 2 to save some money. I don't need really need touch id on a ipad.
