I'll be moving over from Android to Apple for the new IPhone 6s next month.

In anticipation, I had been thinking about some type of IPad to go along with it. I have a Chronebook, but no other type of tablet for home and office use.

So today, I'm seeing Best Buy has the mini 3 on sale for $299.

I'm wondering, is this a new price drop or just a sale? Also, is this about as good a price on the mini I'll find? Basically wondering if this is a good buy for someone looking at their first Apple tablet?

I think you should go to a store, whether it's BB, Apple, etc and look at both a Mini and an iPad before making a decision.

The price is nice but if you can wait 2 months, Apple may release a significantly upgraded mini 4.
If the memory gets upgraded to 2 gigs, it would be major.

And no, the price of the Mini is still the same.

I've seen them both.

My question was about the price?

Thank you

You should be able to get a Mini 2 (basically the same as the 3) for a really good price once the new model is revealed. My Mini 1 still works well with its 4.5 year old A5 chip and the Mini 2 is a massive upgrade which should easily last you another few years.

Considering this year there will be a HUGE Mini update, I'd wait. On the other hand, the regular sized iPad might not get an update so that would be an OK purchase now.

I would wait to see the iPad Mini 4. If you decide that it's not in your price range, there should be some great deals on the iPad Mini 3's and 2's around November, probably better than $299.
