Currently I have an iPhone 6S Plus and and iPad Mini 2.

I do just about everything on my iPhone, and rarely use the iPad. Maybe in bed for some browsing and reading.

Letely I've been tinkering with an idea of picking up an iPad Air 2, primarily because when I do use the iPad I can feel that it's a bit laggy, and this is especially evident when browsing and switching tabs and when switching apps (probably because of the low RAM).

I can't seem to make my mind up. I don't know if the iPad Air 2 is the right size for me, I do know I hate the iPad 4 which my daughter uses (too heavy), but I've never used the Air form factor and it's a lot lighter. I love the Mini form factor and weight, but sometimes I don't like the small screen and microscopic control elements. This makes it more difficult deciding between the Air 2 and Mini 4.

Another thing that makes me hesitate is that I am not sure what kind of performance bump moving to Air 2/Mini 4 would be. I'd like something drastic, as a small bump wouldn't really justify the expense for me, and then I'd rather wait and see what's coming up in March (or later in the year). As I said, the iPad is not really a go-to device for anything - but then I can't help but wonder if I'd be using it more if it was snappier.

Opinions?

Excuse me....iPad Air 2 is very BEAST and very powerful than Mini 2. Remember Air 2 has bigger RAM and super fast Triple Core CPU than Mini 2. Apple still selling it. If Apple is not selling Air 2 then you know it is slow and dead. Go and buy it. Enjoy your new expensive prize toy.

If you can wait for two months until the March Keynote, that's what I would do. Unless you feel the desire to Upgrade now.

I,ve got both and my choice its clear, iPad Air 2 win for so many reasons :)

Since you have a 6S+ get an Air 2. you basically already have something pretty close to the mini already.
