Today might be the day that I do a DFU wipe and fresh install of iOS 10 (I've resolved to doing the cleanest installs possible on my iOS devices so that they run as optimally as possible) on my cellular iPad mini 4. I love my mini 4 and iOS 9 has been nice on it. Will I love or hate how iOS 10 runs on it? I'm not unfamiliar with iOS 10 on iPads (I have an iPad mini 2 and a 12.9" iPad Pro both running it currently); really I'm looking for a "how much of a performance hit am I looking at?" figure.

Yeah. I get the occasional stutter in the app switcher if there are a lot of apps open, but that happened on iOS 9 as well. I would agree that iOS 10 may even be a little smoother.

I used my for only a short time on iOS 9 before updating, but it runs very smooth on 10. Of all of the tablets I tested out before buying an iPad, the mini 4 ran the best (on iOS 9 & 10). It is quick, smooth and very responsive to touch. I would not have spent the money if I didn't think it was worth it.
So far, I really like iOS 10.

I concur, no performance hits on the mini with the updade; though I have my own personal gripes about iOS 10 design. But to each their own.
