Ipad Mini 4 or Ipad 2017 for kids

Hi All,

I need to buy 5 ipads in the next week or 2 for upcoming Christmas.

Im not sure if I should get the mini or the 2017, Currently they share an Ipad Air and they love it, Id love to stay the bigger size, however not sure about the screen quality on the 2017, then on the other hand worried a new Mini will come out shortly after I buy these.

Any advice on what to get them, ages 4, 7, 8, 9, 18 and will be in a kids safety case with front and back covers if that makes a difference.

I own both and the kids love the larger size. Specs wise it’s better over the mini. The larger footprint isn’t an issue for mine.

I love the mini...but for your kids, i'd say the 2017 as well.

Since the iPad 2017($330) costs less than the iPad Mini($400) go with that. They will not notice the performance difference.
Majority of Americans don't have 500 dollars of savings.
Saving money is not a crime.

I've always thought the mini size is excellent for younger kids, but at this point in time I'd go with the 2017 9.7".

I just searched for iPad kid case on Amazon. I think one of the cases include tempered glass.
