Dear all

I have a weird bug and haven’t realised when it started to happen but it’s there. So I am in inside an app and when returning back to Home Screen all the icons and folders disappear for a second and afterwards all is fine. It will happen during the day. I closed and reopen even made a factory reset but nothing… for sure it’s an iOS bug and if someone had the same I would appreciate any advice or workaround.

I have seen this on both my iPad mini 7 and my M4 11” iPad Pro.

Happens sporadically as you state when swiping out of an app to the home screen

Occasionally on my Mini 7 the app icons will reload when I return to home screen. It's not frequently happening though. sometimes my wallpaper is janky as well (zoomed in more than it should be) and eventually resolves itself if I rotate the device to portrait and back to landscape. Glitches that shouldn't happen but do, and I just live with them since they don't hamper the usability of the device.

It’s an iOS bug. My m5 iPad Pro does this as well on iPadOS26.2

I have a 4th gen iPad Air and it does the same thing. When I exit an app sometimes, for just a second, all the apps will be gone from the home screen except for the app I just exited.
It seems to be a minor glitch that came along with iPadOS 26.1 or maybe .2? I can't recall when exactly I first noticed it.

For the time being and after the new update release I have zero issues … fingers crossed it’s been resolved
