No, the iPad mini doesn't have Stage Manager or Final Cut Pro support.
Yep. I tested it with great success at my office desk set up last week.Does it support Stage manager with an external monitor?
So, anyone got information about whether this has been enabled in iPadOS 26?
Check the post above. I think it's a no. Pretty disappointing because I got the impression that it is a yes from the previews.Nice.
What about extended display?
Ah yes, thanks, didn't read the text in the image!Check the post above. I think it's a no. Pretty disappointing because I got the impression that it is a yes from the previews.
i'm guessing now but if its being released for iOS (which was rumored for iOS26 but didn't seem to happen) it prob will happen on lower spec iPads too.So, anyone got information about whether this has been enabled in iPadOS 26?
Check the post above. I think it's a no. Pretty disappointing because I got the impression that it is a yes from the previews.
Although Stage Manager was the solution that allowed extended display, the reason for non M iPads to not get extended display was different (in fact, the pro 2018 and 2020 got Stage Manager but not extended display, and by the way now the mini and other iPads offers Stage Manager in addition to windowing, but still no extended display). They didn’t give us stage manager on the mini citing the same reason ! Can we really believe that extended support is limited by the chip ?
Regardless, sadly expecting a lag fest with the windows on the mini 6.
Very disappointing! I would have been ok if it supported lower resolution monitors! For those who still hope in extended display support on non M devices, this is from apple.com "Full external display support is available with iPad Air (5th generation), iPad Air (M2 and later), iPad Pro 11-inch (3rd generation and later), iPad Pro 12.9-inch (5th generation and later), and iPad Pro (M4)."
That's precisely why is not supported. If it can't run Apple displays, let's give it no external monitor support (non M iPads) or only 1 external monitor support (M1/M2 Macs)Very disappointing! I would have been ok if it supported lower resolution monitors!
