What was it like with the iPad 2? Would the mini even support 1080p for iTunes-purchased movies/TV shows? Is 1080p just a waste of space? Better off downloading everything in 720?

The iPad mini will sport a screen resolution of 1024x768. 720P is 1280X720 max, so it will take full advantage of the screen.

The iPad mini will be able to run full 1080P video with it's A5 processor, but you will likely not see a difference in quality on a screen of that size and resolution.

Thanks. I figured as much, but wasn't sure if the mini would be capable of 1080p. I see no point in wasting the space if you can't tell the difference.
