I've had my 1st gen mini a while now, however, I've only just noticed the problem that my keyboard displays the 'H' and 'U' key very poorly.

Any advice? iPad is updated to the latest version.

What do you mean displays the H and U poorly? I'm not seeing anything with the screen grab you attached.

Looks fine to me. If it's an actual screen problem a screen shot will not display it. Care to elaborate?

Is your touch sensitivity going bad? That maybe due to the underlying sensor having issues.

Ok, before 7.1 I never had the display issue. What I can see and you can't, is the left hand edge of H and U key (the lettering itself, not the box) is almost bold font and the rest of the letter is normal. Now retina or not, it looks terrible and was never a problem before. I'll do another screenshot. See if you can see what I mean.

Ipad is flawless apart from this.

Sorry I mean right side of the letter. Hopefully this image clears it up better (actual photo of the screen)

It's as if the letter uses one line of pixels more than the other.

Sorry but I don't see it. IOS 7.1 changed the keyboard a bit, maybe the new style isn't working well for you.

You genuinely cannot see that the right hand straight vertical edge of the letter 'H' is thicker than the left?

I see what you're talking about, but it seems as if all the letters have the "shadow". Maybe it's lingering trace of skeuomorphism in iOS 7. I don't see it in iOS 8 on my iPad mini retina.
