I'm actually getting an iPod Touch 5th gen to go alongside my iPad Mini. It's not a replacement. Honestly, ever since I got an iPad, I've always wish I could get access to apps like Umano, The Verge's iOS app, and just most iPhone/iPod made apps in general.

It's good for a bigger screen, but I don't benefit from it for other than productivity needs.
 
I don't think so...

I feel the iPad mini is way more popular and can do much more but because of the size it can't be replacing the Touch because it isn't as portable. I'd rather take a touch to the store for the grocery list than an ipad mini. Other wise it is a great product and much better for gaming and web browsing.
