iPad mini just smaller iPad 4

New here. But according to apple's website, the iPad mini has everything the same as the iPad 4 except the retina display and the A6 chip. Thats a pretty good deal.

Is it not? Why?

It's more like a smaller iPad 2 than a smaller iPad 4.

Non-retina display and the old A5 CPU.

I can live without retina display. iPad mini has better PPI than iPad 2. What I cannot understand is the A5.

A5 processor was introduced with iPad 2. This was Feb 2011. It was 20 months ago. I am very concerned because Apple might just not allow iPad mini to be updated to future softwares pretty soon.

The ipad 2 has the same speed as the ipad 3

So your going to get ipad 3 speeds
