iPad Mini Pre-Orders and Shipping

So I've never pre-ordered an item from Apple right when they went on sale. I am planning on pre-ordering the iPad Mini on Friday when they start. But I have two questions.

First, what time do we think pre-orders will begin? 12am eastern or 3am eastern?

Also, how does shipping on pre-orders work? If the iPad Mini will be released on November 2nd, would pre-order ship on November 2nd or would they be shipped earlier so that they arrive to customers on the 2nd?

Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

Usually pre-order will begin 12:00AM PST = 3:00AM EST

If you successful pre-order from Apple you will get your iPad mini on the launch day for sure.
