So today I noticed that when my sound is off but my iPad is running, there comes a faint hiss out of my speakers.
This only occurs when I turn off the volume while there is sound output. If there isn't any, the hiss turns off after a couple of seconds. I also found that the noise is volume independent. Unlike my father's iPad 3 where there is no noise at zero volume, but when I turn up the volume, the noise also gets noisier. There doesn't have to be sound output on his iPad.
I also noticed that the noise coming from the left speaker sounds differtent than the noise coming from the right speaker.
----------
Anyway what I ask you people to do is, put your music on, turn the volume all the way down and then put your ear against the speaker.
I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me what they heard

I reposted this thread because I figured this section of the forums would be more appropriate.
