How do I hook my ipad mini to my tv so I can watch Netflix?

the av adapter & hdmi works with my iPhone 5 ---> tv for Netflix

but using the same method via ipad mini says "not supported"

netflix blocked it on the iPad app for both video out and AirPlay

you need to jailbreak

Wow, that's annoying...

EDIT: Actually, that's incorrect. The entry for Netflix's app says it supports video out on all iPads and the iPhone/iPod touch and beyond.

i remember way back it was blocked.

Sure thing. I think I remember that it was blocked a long time ago, but they opened it up and it's in their best interest to do so.

This doesn't explain why OP is betting this error, though. Seems odd. I've not tried Netflix on my iPad myself.

Blocking this must be recent. I successfully displayed my NetFlix downloads on my iPad 2 through the HDMI adapter to a TV. This was perhaps a year ago. Both iOS and Netflix ap have been updated since and haven't tried it since.
 
sorry guys - i didn't realize it now works.

netflix did originally block all forms of video-out on the Netflix iPad app. thanks for the heads up actually, now i won't really need the jailbreak to do it
