Haha, TH14, I can understand your annoyance, although you had a wifi to play around with for a bit didn't you!

I'm a mini virgin, and I LUUURVE it!

Oh, and the dinged one was also Week 47, make of that what you will.

Milton Keynes still had stock at about 5pm. I also couldn't be bothered to wait, my pre-order has shipped but I didn't want to wait until the 10th!

I picked up a 32GB Cellular version today in Brighton.

I walked in to check out the fancy Philips multicolour remote controlled lights that cost £169 and them noticed the new 21 inch iMac before asking about the cellular minis which apparently just came in today - go figure.

So I cancelled my online order and bought one in store.

I haven't had the chance to use 3G yet because my iPad is stiller restoring from its back up 5 hours later!

I really want to test this on LTE. I do have an EE SIM and a nano-SIM cutter but I don't live in an LTE area!

Actually i'm pretty pissed off that Apple has supplied the stores before fulfilling their pre-orders, opting to take fresh money and make those that committed early wait.. Bad move..

Btw, i put £564 down for that.

I can only imagine the logistics of doing so must be pretty hard. Considering they already seemed to be experiencing some internal delays, to then time shipments to all pre-order customers so they arrive a day or two before they arrive at all stores must be an impractical nightmare. Far easier just to get them to the customers, be it pre-order or retail, as quickly as possible.

Picked up a 32GB Black in Westfield Stratford City around 5:30. They had sold out of 16GB and mine is still at the airport in China. Was considering returning the 16GB but my partner already 'needs' one after using this for all of ten seconds so it will have a good home whenever it arrives!

P.S. the screen is much better than I thought in practice. It's better PPI than the one we were using not ten months ago. Not sure why so many people are upset about it.

Yep! Just walked into Apple store Manchester, walked out with a 64gb Black LTE mini!

I preordered at 0801 first day, still no movement on mine.

On the plus side, the Mini is awesome! On the minus side there's a big silver ding in the bezel right below the home button :(. When I get my preordered Mini, assuming its good nick, I'll return this for a refund and keep the preorder. Meanwhile, I'm going to have fun with this ding or not :)

LUCKY BOY! (aside from the ding!)

I have the 32Gb on pre-order... due to arrive next week.

I would've got the 64Gb... but I'm thinking a retina version may be round the corner. I got the 64Gb 3G iPad 3... and I feel I got my fingers burnt somewhat...

A good point.

These product releases spike heavily for the air freight companies.. And let's remember they have other customers too.

It's not entirely an Apple-centric universe.

I swapped my dinged one for a perfect one later :)

I know what you mean about 32gb v 64gb. I love this thing, but its the first iPad I've bought which I know for certain Ill be replacing the moment a retina version arrives. Toyed with getting a 32gb, but I'm so used to 64gb I just thought what the hell. A bit frivolous, granted, but I'll be using it all day everyday for at least 6 months, more likely 12 (I'm in the q4 2013 retina mini camp personally, but that can be debated elsewhere) so I can live with the hit I'll take when I come to sell it.

My preorder, sheesh, got an email this morning saying "expect tracking to show up in 4-5 business days". Given its Saturday now, wouldn't surprise me if I don't take delivery of it till Monday the 10th!

Just called around the London stores - they're all out. Have decided I want 64GB now but have a 32GB pre-order in transit.

I did seriously consider getting the cheapest LTE 16gb cos of future upgrades but after thinking about it, for my usage only 16gb would drive me bonkers. So 32gb became my baseline. Then, being a total* sucker to the upsell, I thought, hmm £80 more for the 64gb is definitely worth it to me even if I do sell it in a year or so.

*I don't consider myself a total sucker, every bit of that 64gb will be put to good use. Comics, hd mkv's, podcasts. Also games - I've had an iPad since day one, amassed tonnes of games but I haven't played them much. Something about the form factor of the mini though, and the fact that I'll be taking it everywhere with me, gives me the feeling I'm going to game on this a LOT more than previous iPads.

did any one get its shipped 29th ?

i think they are fooling us i spoke to tnt they no info about tracking number looks like they made all of this to gain some time again

The status of my order changed to 'Preparing for shipment' and delivers:17 Dec

Is there any possibility I could receive before this date.....I could go out to the shops and get one much before then with the stores stock now coming through in London.....

Also what shipping site can you use to track in the UK....and when does it go live?

Mine ordered 20th Nov was originally delivers 11th Dec, yesterday went to shipped delivers by 7th and today it says estimated delivery 5th December. 16gb White.

If you use one of the parcels tracking apps they give much more detail than the local carrier website.

I have to use TNT international. It's currently in transit from Puoadong airport.

You can also order them to collect from Tesco now too. Gah, I have 3 days off, could have been playing with my new ipad instead of refreshing the tnt tracking page over and over!

I've just placed an order with Tesco - they don't offer it for collection by will deliver by Monday.

Interesting that other providers can offer better fulfilment than the manufacturer.

Just about sums it up really.

Sometimes I think that Apple has gone to the dogs. The whole point of going to the trouble of pre-ordering is to get your rightful place in the queue, not to be sent to the back of it! :(

Mine has changed saying it will be delivered on or before the 7th. Trouble is TNT don't actually recognise the number on their site or even 3rd party apps yet

Think I may just buy one tomorrow if they have any in stock still
