That's probably pushed everything back a day or two!Still "In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule" for more than 12 hours . I think I am going to be crazy till my mini arrives and never use it .

When I got home I phoned Apple and had them cancel my pre-order. It had already shipped but Apple said that they would stop it in transit and have it sent back to them.

Yeah that I don't know but I would expect it to take a week. But as it was on my credit card it doesn't really worry me until middle of next month when I have to pay it!
TNT will have the wrath of my missus to contend with if the mini isn't delivered by her birthday. She doesn't know yet but if I get a game show back-drop and say "this is what you could have gotten yourself!"....she'll get on the war-path. She's a minister of War!
Well i have mine in hand, and its ace! having seen the black and white ones in the flesh, i think i actually preferred the black one, but i'm not fussy, this still looks great.

I have just spoken to TNT again and he seemed as confused as the rest of us (reassuring) They are still yet to receive the delivery but somehow thinks I'll still get it for tomorrow Who knows now

Good Afternoon Alec,
Thank you for your enquiry regarding delivery of your goods.
Upon checking the consignment will be shipped from Arnhem over to the UK today. The due date for delivery is tomorrow between the hours of 8-6, however this is subject to customs clearance.
If you can check your consignment on the website tomorrow this will confirm if the goods will be out for delivery to yourself.

My next day home delivery order placed with Argos online on Monday arrived yesterday and I've been loving it (ba-da-ba-da-daa). The pre-order is still yet to arrive, although the TNT site says out for delivery (I'll be taking it back to the store for a refund). I didn't just do this out of impatience, I decided I wanted a 64GB model rather than the 32GB I had pre-ordered.
Smart cover is a disappointment though, very flimsy and not nice to hold in the hand (I think this is a core difference between the two - iPad is often on tables, laps etc whereas mini is more 'handheld', so a cover becomes less appealing).

is it good protection though? if the one i've ordered is going into a handbag more than likely i don't want to see it scratched to buggery.
You can return it even if you've used it, just make sure you don't damage it! I think you have 14 days.
I chose Giffgaff's 500MB for £5 no-contract sim-only deal (http://giffgaff.com/goodybags and click "Tablet PC and Dongle plans"). It uses the O2 network. Don't think you'll find cheaper.

500MB... I admit I had to look at the link to confirm, but damn 500GB would be a good deal
It doesn't protect the back at all obviously, but yes it covers the screen. The problem is that the edge magnets (not at the hinge-end but at the 'flap' end) are very weak so it slips about a lot on top of the iPad. In a handbag, I wouldn't be too optimistic about the cover staying in place.
If it wasn't for the built-in stand capability, I'd get rid of mine, and am considering going with a sleeve+separate stand combo instead (https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1502427/).
Use Quidco or Topcashback and get the 3 month/3gb (£20 with £12-13 cash back) or 12 month/12gb SIM from Three. After cash back I believe it's the cheapest deal going on average.

I've started off with 500MB and see how it goes.

Just called and said it can be delivered up until 6pm.
I have been searching and found these people http://ovivomobile.com/ referred to on money saving expert, seems like you pay a one off £10 and get 500mb a month supported by advertising... not sure how it works and I am always a bit skeptical about deals that look to good to be true...
The three 3 month thing looks ok..
Anyways I have a delivery date of the 21st so no rush...
