i remember one of the ipad launches being 1 am but not going to stay up, thinks its going to be 8am, dont know why they dont just state a time on web site😕😕

I'm not getting the mini, but does anyone know if you will be able to reserve an ipad 4 for pick at an Apple store?
My guess would obviously be about 8am, but nearly three hours of downtime seems a bit excessive.

Might be wishful thinking but not sure if this will become sold out as quickly as previous iPads. Think it's one of those products that people will want a hands on with in stores etc. geeks to check out screen resolution etc and non geeks for form factor and impulse purchases.

Wondering if it's worth picking up the smart cover straight away? Wouldn't want an accessory slowing down the order.
I'd like a smart cover too but in the past accessories have slowed delivery down. I think I'll order the smart cover separately.

Good shout, it was worth it for the cuppa.
Not sure on cases, i bought 2 smartcovers, 2 flip cases, 3 backs for my ipad 3....
i may just wait it out and see what its like when the mini arrives.
I want the 32GB 4G model (i use my ipad for work emails so rather that than the blackberry) even though its a bit pricey.
not sure when the 4G models will actually arrive over here, its a couple of weeks in the US and then "later" in other countries i've read :-(

yep that was my thought but other posts have said they'll ship them as they become available but won't risk it and order separately.

I suppose if you get in early enough the stock should be o.k. (hopefully)
Plus if its a combined order the shipping will be free, chances are if it's a big seller the retail stores aren't going to have surplus stock

Normally go for black ipads but getting a white one this time, as i've heard the backs on the iphone 5s scratch easy, so i'm hoping the scratches will show up less on the white one.

Speaking from experience, accessories have always slowed down pre-orders for myself
