I had a shocking experience with TNT from Apple the other week. Waited a week for a MacBook Air, was supposed to be delivered to my house on the Thursday, they left it at the base. Friday, nowhere to be seen. Phoned them for a redelivery attempt on Monday, delivered to incorrect address. Rearranged for Tuesday, didn't bother to send it out until I phoned them in a rage and they got it out later that afternoon to my work address. Total shambles.

That was my first experience of a TNT delivery from Apple, and hopefully my last.

It was probably your fault. You probably didn't give them the full address, or the postcode was missing.

Did you give them your correct phone number too, because I don't see why you had to phone them, when they should have your mobile number.

Always the same. People blaming others when just a few simple steps can minimise problems. I've owned nearly every product Apple has made, including mac mini, iPod, Macbook, LED Display, and I've never had a problem with TNT.

My bad experience was with UKmail the other week. Still waiting for my LTE mini, but I ordered a Smart Cover in preparation. UKmail website told me delivered and signed for by me, on the Tuesday. No sign of it, none of my neighbours had it. On the Thursday, it was pushed through my door with a note on it from 7 houses down the street, saying "They delivered this to ours, not sure why". This was after an email exchange id had with UKmail on the Wednesday where they insisted it had been signed for by me.....at completely the wrong house, and not by me, tsk.

No assumptions about my address details please, Im always scrupulous about such things.

I've no objections about delivering to my neighbours, but the combo of wrong house several houses down on a signed for package, then lied re the signature, and no note through my door is frankly poor.

I just hope they handle the delivery of my mini better!

Actually a tad out of order to be honest. It's great you haven't had issues, but other people have. I've come across some shocking delivery services before. I understand the frustration when you have to wait longer for something you've paid for because someone else has made a mistake.

i know its a first world problem but PLEASE APPLE TELL ME WHEN MY LTE MINI WILL BE HERE!!!

can't seem to stop myself checking my order status every hour on apple.com

if i just knew it would be the 1st of january or whenever that would be fine!

Both of them are reputable dealers.

How do you know? Have you ordered from any of these sites before?
I checked some reviews online, and uk.insight.com had a 1 star rating, whilst misco.co.uk had ratings of 1 and 5 star with an average of 2.3.

Never ordered through Insight but Misco is absolutely massive in the business world. We order computers from them all the time.

I work in IT, they are both big in the business world.

You going through my posts? I mean, that's fine, but surely you've got some homework you could be doing?

I prefer the second option - that I was reading this thread after I heard my iPad mini was dispatched ;)

Now please, stop, before you get another thread locked.

No one could be worse than City Link.

In better news, my GF and I have now both received our minis.

Please make fun of her here: for her newly inherited bristolian accent, that would be good :)

I have lived in Bristol for nearly 6 years and my Bristolian wife keeps telling me my accent is changing, I did not believe it until I was filmed for a TV interview, now I am getting stick for it lol.

lucky

just ordered mine today from misco.co.uk
think i got one of the last ones they had left in stock, cos they're now saying no stock available. getting mine tomorrow with next day delivery
:)

Does anyone know if it is possible to check stocks of specific apples stores (without calling them) - are the minis generally sold out in the UK stores (London) ?

Well it finally arrived, not after a whole morning of calls and then me demanding that i didnt care how they got it to me i wanted it delivered as i had taken the day off work.

Checked at 9am - Out for delivery
By 10pm - Delay due to routing error
So i called and guess what, no one knew where my package was, one person told me it wasnt on the van and another told me it was in the depot and one told me it was on the wrong lorry.... they could at least have stuck to one story!

Anyways the delivery guy eventually arrived at my door at 2pm with the Mini, only for me to aks him what the hell is the issue with attitudes in TNT, he told me that what i was told on the phone was lies as they normally make all deliveries in my area BEFORE 12 not between 12 and 2 like i was told....

Im still annoyed but not as much now that i have the mini.
Next time ill wait till release day and go get one myself rather than relying on a broken stick!

It's official. City link sucks.
They've had my iPad in their depot ready for delivery the whole day, and it was meant to be delivered today. Hopefully they'll sen it tomorrow.

I'm STILL waiting.
Ordered 8 on the nose on 26.10.12 and my shipping email hasn't updated to anything other than estimated delivery 20.11.12 and still none if the reference numbers work for tracking (doesn't even confirm carrier)
First and last time I pre-order something from apple.

Are iPad minis 4G/LTE shipping yet in the UK?

I know this must be a question on many lips. And I am equally sure the answer can be a little more accurate than the reply: "how long is a piece of string?"

To help anyone else who is waiting, my details:

32Gb Black 4G/LTE
ordered 30 October
status showing 'Processing'
expected delivery: late November
location: North of England.

Hope this info might help others find their bearings.

Not complaining! Quite the contrary.
I only have one life!
