I bought a black mini, returned it for a white one. Shows less finger prints and looks better in my opinion.

White. Much less fingerprints on back, and i love pure ALU color. I have black iPhone and change is good. Polished edge looks nicer to me on white.

Funny, I have the black iPad Mini and I don't have a fingerprint issue on the back. On the other hand, my iPod Touch (3rd gen) which has an aluminum back shows a lot of fingerprints.

I think the Black one having a graphite back helps reduce fingerprint visibility. If the back were pure black, then it might be a different story.

Got white, pure aluminum, less fingerprints, less scuffing (hopefully) - but I like the black more I think. So black front and silver back would be perfect combination for me...

White for sure! They're different and more 'Mac-like'... Black looks nice and sleek, but it makes the mini look like every other black tablet. Go for white! :apple:

So simple question....

From everyone else's opinion, which do you prefer?

I once upon a time, owned a white iPad 2 but the iPad Mini has a different build. I've heard about scuffing being seen on the black Mini.

So I'm just curious, which do you prefer and which do you think would be the better choice in your opinion?

I don't think this question has been asked before!

I personally like the look of the black backing instead of the slate.

So i went with black.

Because iPod Touch has whole back polished like Apple logo is on the back of the Ipad mini. Mirror finish is glue for fingerprints. iPad minis back is not miror finish, just logo.

i had a white one the first time i got a mini. used and played with it for couple of weeks but go tired of the color and decided to return it to get a black one. black seems to be a better color for a mini.

i had the same issue before but hey i will be putting a case so this doesn't really matter at all. i had a white one before and returned it to get a black mini. i thought i will like the bare natural alum color but after couple of weeks, nahhh i like black better.

I though I would like the black the best, but considering I would use it for reading and web browsing, the white seems to fit more and is very elegant.

I still like the black, though. One of each? :)

Alternate each time you upgrade? Although I suspect that the color and finish will change over itme, so who knows what will be better with the next generation or even the generation after that.
