Got my 64gb white today. A day early. I can't put it down. I'm so glad I opted to wait.

Mine is still in Anchorage

Anyone have any ideas when it will move on east to CT? Seems it is stuck there.

AT&T LTE speed in Knoxville, TN (WOW!!)

495 mS ping time? Interesting. Here in California I'm getting 88 mS ping, 24 Mbps down, 3.48 up, AT&T LTE on my iPhone 5.

The low latency is actually what surprised me most about LTE when I got my iPad 3. Cellular networks have traditionally been very high latency, so if you're doing interactive things like logging in to servers remotely they feel extremely slow.

Must've just been that server. Picked a different one and got this:

I can't imagine getting a wifi only one though. The key to this thing is having cellular service on it.

I agree. I got a wife only model and returned it: it was very frustrating to not be able to have internet connectivity except when I was home or had time to anchor myself to a Starbucks. This device begs to be online all the time (at least for me).

In stock at my local Apple store :)

My iPad Mini (black, ATT, 16gb) has been sitting in Memphis since yesterday on a customs hold. I checked the Apple website and found the same unit in stock at my local Apple store. I have ordered it and will hopefully be picking it up tomorrow. The pre-order mini will be returned when (or if) it ever clears customs. Or I may keep it as a holiday gift for my son.

Clearance Delay

CORRECTION; IT HAS NOT RELEASED!!!! Just spoke with IPD at fed-ex and it is being held by customs. They are hoping it gets cleared early enough tonight to get in the air, and I can see it being delivered tomorrow in Texas. If you need proof here is the direct line to the IPD office (handles customs hold) at Fed Ex 800-455-4588 8a-8p CST.

My Black ATT 32GB is in this lot too. I am so frustrated. I called Apple, they told me there was nothing they could do and that I should call FedEx. I called FedEx-- they said there was nothing I could do and that I should call Apple. I called Apple again and they told me not to worry because the delivery date has not slipped (still the 21st). I told them that I was not counting on it not slipping. They said their manager was doing all that they could to make sure that the right people were working on it. I have no idea who is at fault. FedEx was really nice on the phone and so was Apple. It's so frustrating to be a good customer and order within moments of the pre-order going live and to be sitting waiting. I had hoped to have it for a Thanksgiving trip. I leave on the 21st and just hope I have it in time.

Does anyone have any updates on the situation?

I feel a little bad complaining-- I need to keep perspective, this is small in the grand scheme of things-- I guess I just feel like I was duped by the supply chain that Apple is typically famous for.

Any updates would be greatly appreciated.

Have a great Holiday with friends and family if you are fortunate enough to get to celebrate.

i ordered for my friend.. he originally got 11/21 delivery. was moved to 11/26 when it was shipped BUT i received it yesterday 11/19. WINNING!! :D

My 32gb white AT&T is finally in my state! And actually at the local facility which is only 4min from my house...what a tease!

It says it arrived there at 7:46am. Any chance it will go out for delivery today? Has anyone had it change to delivery that late? If not, do I call to try and pick up or just wait? I was hoping for advice, the best option to get it in my hands the fastest!

Update: it's out for delivery!! I get to join the ranks of everyone who finally received them! Can I say, I'm so excited!! It's the little things right? After a month....I just hope it works without any issues. Cautiously optimistic.

Mine is STILL sitting in Kentucky. No movement *at all* yesterday. I found a 32GB Black AT&T in stock at my local Apple store & reserved it last night. I originally ordered the 16GB but was having second thoughts so being able to reserve the 32GB sealed the deal. I will return the preordered Mini & exchange the free smart cover when the Mini finally arrives.

Nothing to do with Apple, its customs.

Apple did not provide the necessary invoice documentation, apparently.

I was lucky enough to find the exact model I am looking for at my local Apple store and just received my 'ready to pick up' email, so I'll have my 16gb AT&T black mini today. I feel for the rest of you with minis stuck in customs. I'm still watching mine closely - I'll either return it when (if?) it arrives or keep it as a holiday gift for a family member.

It will be interesting to see if these end up delivering on time, as Apple claims they will.
