I don’t think it will be that much.
But I wouldn’t feel it.
I can hold 80 pound with one hand without problems.
We all know that computer users have a solid reputation for being in excellent physical shape so that really is a huge demographic for Apple to target. ?

The Ultra Studio's heatsink weights 2 pounds more than the Max Studio's heatsink. The 16" MBP weighs 1.2 pounds more than the 14" MBP, and an 18" M1-Max would have a slightly greater weight increase over the 16". The 16" already has the largest battery allowed on airplanes, so with the same battery from the 16" the Ultra 18" would also have horrible battery life.

4.7 + 2 + 1.2 = 7.9 pounds at least.

Enjoy.

That means:
MacBook Pro 16-inch with M2 Ultra or underclocked M2 Ultra is coming too ???
I haven't seen mention of an announcement of any M2 devices yet, much less an iPad Mini, though I'd probably buy one if they really make them. :)

And you know this how....

The perfect 'height' for an M2 iPad Pro (with dual support for macos?) would be that ~11" length of a standard qwerty keyboard (like the 2017 macbook) so that it could use a standard sized keyboard.

Maybe skinny up the aspect ratio to make it a bit lighter... But that would be an ideal mobile device - and probably a pretty good dockable unit for desktop work.

I'd wait in line for that.

It's pretty inevitable that there will be an M2 - sometime. And it's highly likely that this will end up in an iPad - sometime.

I know that this is MacRumors, but some of these rumours* are just stating the bleedin' obvious.

*I actually tried to type the US spelling but my UK Mac autocorrected it to British spelling.
