I’ve always thought the home screens of the mini (and other iPads for that matter) were really missing a trick in terms of having the app icons so spread out and the huge boarders of just the wallpaper. Seeing the duo had got me wishing for that level of number of app icons / widgets on the upcoming OLED mini. Has there been any indication that might happen?

Definitely hoping that the advent of the Duo will lead to UI improvements for iPads, particularly the Mini. The padding on the home screen and margins are horrendous. Users should be given more options on icon density and margins so that those who want thinner margins and more icons can have it while those who need the extra padding aren't affected.

Beyond home screen improvements hopefully things like Control Center and Today View also get improvements so that the entire screen can be utilized for shortcuts and widgets. In landscape mode on a Mini these screens have a ridiculous amount of wasted space on them, almost comically so.
