I think you should be more precise with your question. Do you want to upgrade hardware or software. Also, how does it freeze, where and when, under which circumstances. And is it always or every now and then?

And what model iPad. If it's a 3 you won't be able to update the OS past OS9. I'm not sure if a 4 will update.
