ipad movie conversion question

Hi,

I was wondering what screen resoluton to use when converting the movies for ipad use? I use xilisoft and set it for HQ with 1280x720 and i still see the black bars.

also why is it that on some movies all the voices of the movie goto the left ear bud?

Because you did not fully insert your ear bud connector into the iPod socket.

If you rotate the iPad 180 degrees do the voices move to the right?
