So, picked up a magic keyboard recently and have had the iPad sitting on it for a couple off weeks. Yesterday I noticed the Ipad was dead and so put it on charge. It didn't charge at all. Left it overnight, still nothing. Tried a 12v charger, no use. I suspect the magic keyboard has emptied the battery but often this only requires a bit of a kick from a higher voltage charger. I can see the battery with red line that indicates it is empty when I plug it in. Any ideas?

Glad to know that I'm not the only person that is having this issue. Someone in a previous post said that they were able to get it back on by charging through the Magic Keyboard. Doing that right now through a 61W MacBook charger and hope I'll be able to report some good news in a few hours. Called Apple Support and they're of no use, the iPad and Keyboard have to be serviced differently and they won't be able to check if the Keyboard is what caused the issue.

That might have actually fixed it. It's charging now but I was charging if via magic keyboard and the iPad usb c port at the same time and there is now life in the iPad again.

Switch your charge switch your cable if that doesn’t work take it apple for a free diagnostic show them it wont charge. Ive had battery and charging issues and they did a free out of warranty replacement
