My 80 year of neighbor grandmother received an iPad 2 for Christmas from her kids. She is a cool lady and handles computer issues herself. She loaned me iPad as. She knows I am interested in a new iPad. I noticed right away her

iPad is not very responive to touch I
am on my second iPhone so I think I

know how it should respond. I called

Apple support and wound up with Paul
l who was very glad tO say he was a

team leader. I explained the issue and

he wanted my credit card for $69 for

service. I explained again it was the

neighbor's Christmas gift and could not

be gvery far out of 90 day warranty. He repeated he was a great tech and I

should be happy to talk to a tech in America instead of India His arrogance was overwhelming. The iPad does not have any screen cover but is still unresponsive. I did noticed it seems to work better when fully charged as

opposed to 40% battery charge. That

difference should not matter in my

opinion.I have "reset" the unit with no change. Any ideas??

Suggestions:

  • Completely reboot iPad
  • Clean the screen
  • Take it to an Apple store if possible
  • Edit/update your post for clarity. Autocorrect has made it difficult to understand who you talked to and why they would charge you money for support on a device that should be well under a year old.

Since it's still under warranty, take it to an Apple Store. They'll have it replaced if there is an issue.

This. If an Apple store isn't located nearby (closest to be is 95 miles), then call apple care (not support).
