I'm not sure if this is exactly where this belongs, but I made an earlier post discussing a Macbook Pro. I was pretty settled on this until I watched Steve Jobs' presentation on the iPad earlier today. Now I'm not sure which one again 😀
I've already got an iPod touch, which I just got over the holidays, but do you think the iPad, from what we have seen, is something that can replace a laptop for the basic, consumer tasks, like webbrowsing, word processing, games, video etc.? Or would I be better off to stick with my itouch and get a Macbook Pro?

Well, for basic computing tasks, the iPad is more fun and intuitive. I would sell the iPod touch and get the MBP + iPad combo.

The only problem with that combo is you don't have anything that fits into your pocket unless you want to buy an iPhone or another smartphone.

The iPad looks really cool, esp with the optional stand and keyboard accessories. But if you're looking for a REAL computer, the Macbook Pro is the way to go.
