My Smart Keyboard cursor can no longer activate slide over, notifications or control center. Previously you could slide the cursor to the corners, or side, to bring those options. Now you have to click on the Wi-Fi/battery icon to activate control center, and click on the time/date to activate notifications.

Is this a bug or is Apple changing the behavior? If this is intentional this is frustrating and a big mistake from apple.

Same for me. It does occasionally work so I’m guessing it’s a bug. Using the Magic Keyboard.

It seems to be a bug on 16.1b2. Almost all the trackpad related functionality seems to be broken. Same behavior when using Magic Trackpad or Universal Control.
