I couldn't find an answer to my query - can I have folders with different file types in them i.e. jpegs, pdf, word documents as well as Pages OR are the files still sandboxed like before?

    Thanks in advance.

From my understanding iOS hasn’t changed the way it works, but it’s going to be a lot easier to read and write from external storage devices and share points. Apps store their data as usual.

you can create a folder by selecting a file >move> create a new folder.

files has a lot more functionality now.

Of course it’s sandboxed. That’s the whole security protocol of iOS and that is why it can’t get viruses.
