iPad os16 not showing up on iPad pro

I have the latest iPad Pro with plenty of memory left but it does not show iPadOS 16 to upgrade. Any help would be appreciated.

Only iOS 16, watchOS 9, HomePodOS 16 and tvOS 16 are out today

Maybe iPadOS 16 is not out yet. I don't see it as an option on my iPad Pro and my 6th gen. iPad.

iPadOS 15.7 is the current version. v16 is coming in october as mentioned by @Seanm87
