A while someone started a thread asking if anyone tried to touch the screens on their computers to do something like they would on their iPads. I had a different experience yesterday at work.

I was typing up a short checklist for calibrating a new piece of equipment and was half way through when I was called for something else. Without thinking I turned off the computer without saving the work first because that is what I'm used to doing on the iPad. I'm glad I hadn't gotten any further than I had, not a great deal of work was lost.

Has anyone done anything like this lately?

—lol. That sucks. It's definitely good you didn't lose too much work.

I don't do that because I rely on auto-lock most of the time. I do have a bad habit of putting things to sleep prematurely though (closing the laptop because I got a phone call, …).
