im thinking you wont see anything till atleast next week, keeping an eye on this as well

Does Amazon itself sell Apple devices anymore? Seems like it's always just 3rd party vendors.

Right. I have some gift cards to use, but I don't think any "real" vendors, or even Amazon themselves, sell Apple stuff any longer.

they have ipad pro 9.7 on amazon but they are not from amazon themselves. third party vendor but fulfilled by amazon.

Yeah, and those third-party vendor names are not ones I recognize.

that is not necessarily a bad thing. i have bought items from third party vendors that i do not recognize and had no problems with ones that are fulfilled by amazon.

If it's not on sale, buy from Apple.

If you getting free shipping (Apple is offering that too in the last 24+ hours since I last checked), this is a little savings, but buying from third-party Amazon sellers are not my thing.

looks like B&H Photo is an option if you want to avoid paying for sales tax.

Agreed. I don't mind buying from MacMall or similar (to save tax, maybe a few $$), but spending $600+ at "Joe's cellphonedeals" doesn't exactly inspire confidence, even if it is fulfilled by Amazon.

Just my preference, but I only purchase from Amazon or B&H photo from a third-party retailer. Highly reputable and will stand behind their return term policies. And they also have very good communication during a return process.

I dont think amazon is going to let their customers get screwed over by a third party vendor, ive purchased several items from a wide variety of them without issues including a $1500 laptop

I kind of wish I could have ordered from Amazon because I get 5% cash back. I love ordering things from Amazon.

Waiting on this myself. I have $100+ in gift cards for Amazon so that might just push me over the edge to order the new 10.5" :)

Which seller are you considering buying from?

Happened to me, many times. Including a $1300 gray-market camera that was not indicated as such.

That is 100% correct !

Anything that is fulfilled by Amazon is just like buying from Amazon. If there is any problems with the sale you contact Amazon and they will contact the seller. If you are not 100% happy you can return free of charge as Amazon will arrange for you to send back the item via UPS at no charge to you.

I once bought a brand new Nintendo Wii U from a 3rd party seller fulfilled by Amazon and had an issue with the order. Amazon contacted the seller and I was given a $100 refund on the order by the seller. It's totally safe and legit buying on Amazon from a 3rd party seller when they are fulfilling the order.

Might just have to get one in the Apple Store instead if I decide to get one this week. Still trying to decide if I want to shell out the money :)

They've been available for a while on Amazon but they were being marked up over list price until recently. I still don't see any 64GB LTE models for anywhere near list price.
