Dodo case just released their sleeve for the 10.5 pro. Claims the iPad will kit inside with the smart keyboard attached.

Not sure if you can squeeze the pencil in as well. If so, I will have to seriously consider this over the Apple Leather Sleeve I ordered. It is almost half the price.

I like their quality a lot. I have never had a sleeve from them though. It's cheaper to get these instead of an apple one even though it's shipped from the US (I live in the UK). Will have to think about this.

This is the case I wanted originally...but...look at the distance between the corner and the start of the cutout for the cover. It is very similar in length to the Poetic case which was found not to fit. Then look at the the picture of the hard plastic Moko back. The cutout starts much closer to the corner than the iLuvit or Poetic cases.

What to do!!!

You're right !!! I've canceled that order; I'll deal w/ the plastic Moku back until a TPU/grippy one becomes available that is proven to work w/ the Smart Cover.

That one is descent looking. Seems like the 9.7" version did well enough (4.4 rating with 562 ratings). An interesting note, for Canadian purchasers; there is no tax and it has free shipping from the USA to Canada! Makes up for it not being available on Amazon.ca, currently.

Has anyone here used this case, before, on other iPad sizes?

One reviewer said it doesn't work with the glass screen protector they have. Worried about this as I want to put one on.

I think the issue is that the case manufacturers did not have precise dimensions prior to the 10.5 announcement and took educated guesses at what would work and what would not to get the cases manufactured in time for the launch.

So my Moko hard plastic shell arrived tonight. The spacing for the Smart Cover is just right. About 1 cm extra room on the top and bottom of the cutout. If the iLuvit case is true to its picture I don't think it is going to work with either the Smart Keyboard or Smart Cover as the gap for the keyboard and cover will not be long enough. Hopefully the picture does not represent the shipping product. If anyone gets it and it turns out to work, please post here and let us know. I would really prefer a soft TPU back rather than the hard plastic.

Today I received the Speck case, the moko back shell, and the Apple Smart Cover and I must say Im very impressed with the Speck Case. It's made of a nice faux leather with the back cover lined in the same fabric as the front. Only the sides have grooves to snap the case in. For $33 it actually seems like a great deal! I think I'm gonna keep it over the overpriced Smart Cover and that crappy moko clear case. I would say avoid the moko case. It has a strong chemical smell and the corners are all scratched up on the inside. Im going to use the Speck until I can find a nice full body Leather case.

I ordered the one above, from moko, its honestly not too bad for a temporary cheap caese. im waiting for the regular tpu ones to come out on prime. Hate cases with screen covers, always slap on a tempered glass for that

Here's the Moko in blue. Seems like a decent case and the magnets are strong. I did notice that the back texture is inconsistently rough almost like they didn't polish it during the finishing process. Reminds me of how it feels when hairspray overspray dries. Anyone else's feel that way?

I was looking at that Speck -- the Balance Folio.

Few reviews on Amazon are mixed.

Looks alot like Devicewear case but with a snap closure. Not a fan of undoing the snap to open it, but the last Devicewear I got for my iPad Mini4 had the plastic crack/break off at the corners so I'm leary to go back to them.

Where'd you get it for $33?

I wondered this myself, too, and asked them (Moko) earlier on Facebook. Their response:

"the cutout is actually designed to fit iPad Pro official smart keyboard rather than Apple smart cover"

This is very odd that Apple would make a different cutout for the Smart Cover and keyboard. However, one user on Amazon.com (Source) bought a Poetic TPU case, with a cutout, and it didn't work with their Apple iPad Pro 10.5 Smart Cover. The attaching portion of the Smart Cover is longer than the keyboard.

I am thinking about ordering a Ztylus for my pencil, in that case, no case will fit that too.

Most cases are probly made for the pencil without a case on it. I think Apple's pencil is too thin.

I think that size statement in my comment was incorrect. Seems like they just did the cutout incorrectly. I think a user on here compared the Smart Cover and Smart Keyboard them together and they were the same, but I am unable to find the post.

Hmm... I might like that case better if that Moko logo was 150x bigger.

I'm really mystified as to why Apple didn't make Silicone cases for the new iPad 10.5. Is there any reason to think they'll show up later? Has Apple ever released cases for a product after the fact?

I don't think they made new cases for the iPad 2017 edition either. Not a good sign....
